Each research operation has one fixed price
A credit pays for one unit of research work SourceFrame performs. Your allowance resets every 30 days; credits don't roll over.

Questions
What happens when I run out of credits?
Research actions pause until your credits reset. Everything you've already made stays fully available — reading, provenance, Research Maps, drafts, exports.
Do unused credits roll over?
No. Your allowance resets in full every 30 days from the start of your period.
Can I buy more credits?
Not at launch. Pro is the way to get more capacity — 100 credits every 30 days.
What if I cancel Pro?
Pro stays active until the end of the period you've paid for. Then your account moves to Free with the Free allowance. Your briefs, workspaces and research stay exactly where they are.
Is anything gated behind Pro?
No features. Pro changes two numbers: 100 credits instead of 20, and up to 16 sources per brief instead of 8.
Does a failed research run cost anything?
No. Credits are used only when a research operation completes successfully.
